The Bach Society Houston presents its first Bach Vespers of the season on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. with the Bach Choir and Mercury Baroque.  The performance will be preceded by a talk of eminent musicologist Prof. Dr. Christoph Wolff of Harvard University and Director of the Bach Archives in Leipzig about New Beginnings for Sacred Music: Bach Arrives in Leipzig.

Both the lecture and performance will be at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2353 Rice Boulevard, Houston, TX 77005.  Click here for more information on the Bach Vespers and program.
