Orange Show Art Car Parade BannerYears ago when the Art Car Parade was still part of the Houston International Festival (now iFest), the booth that Houston-Leipzig shared with Sister Cities of Houston was propitiously situated on the Library Plaza, right along where the fabulously decorated visions (surely you couldn’t call them cars!) floated by: some funny, some wistful, some revolutionary!  We all had a blast, and if you’ve never been to the Art Car Parade, you need to get yourself over to Allen Parkway, somewhere between Waugh and Bagby, tomorrow, May 12, 2012.  The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. and is expected to last about two hours.  Enjoy!

More information on the Art Car Parade  is available by clicking here and here for another site.
