Texas Music FestivalJoin Texas Music Festival in celebration of its 24th season featuring classical music’s rising stars in performance throughout the month of June. Enjoy over 30 live performances by students from top schools including The Julliard School, Cleveland Institute of Music, Eastman School of Music, and more in collaboration with distinguished conductors and faculty artists from around the world. Performances are held at University of Houston Moores School of Music and parking is free!

Each year Texas Music Festival hosts the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Young Artist Competition, a concerto competition in which the winner is invited to appear as a soloist with the Akademisches Orchester in Leipzig, Germany at the famous Gewandhaus in the summer of 2013.  Join them for a local performance with the concerto competition winner on Saturday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m.  After the performance, you are invited to come backstage and personally meet the soloist.

In addition to the concert, Texas Music Festival will be hosting a Celebration on the Plaza complete with performances by Virtuosi of Houston, refreshments by local food trucks, a complimentary beer garden donated by St. Arnold Brewing Company, and a lecture by Dr. Andrew Davis, noted author and Associate Professor of Music Theory, who will provide contextual information and insights about the evening’s repertoire.

Tickets are only $15! This includes all pre-concert festivities and the Festival Orchestra concert. Group rate packages are available at $8 per ticket when purchasing at least 10 tickets.
