NASA: International Space StationLeipzig, October 8, 2013.  As part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the Staedtepartnerschaft Leipzig-Houston in 2013, the Leipzig association is presenting an exhibition of NASA Imagery entitled “Across all Borders – Über die Grenzen Hinaus.” The exhibit is in cooperation with the International Space Education Institute and will take place in the Volkshochschule Leipzig from October 7 until November 15, 2013. Entrance is free.

The exhibit emphasizes everyday life on the ISS.  Approximately fifteen large, high-resolution photos (poster size) depict daily activities, and short texts in German and English describe what is being done in the particular photo.  An original ISS spacesuit used for training purposes will be on-site; space food will also be shown.

Prof. Hartmut Keil, President of the Staedtepartnerschaft Leipzig-Houston, opened the exhibit on Monday, October 7, 2013.
