Following is an invitation from Colin Boothby, Chief Organist and Choir Master at Trinity Episcopal Church, Midtown Houston, 1015 Holman St, Houston,  TX 77004.

It is my pleasure to invite you to a special organ concert on Monday, February 18 at 7:30 pm. While I was in Leipzig last summer, I met two wonderful young organists, Sebastian Heindl (http://www.sebastianheindl.de/) and Johannes Krahl (https://www.johanneskrahl.com/), who study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy”, the music conservatory which Mendelssohn founded in 1843. As part of the ongoing exchange between the Hochschule and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, they are in the U.S. and learning about American organs.

They will play a joint recital on Trinity’s historic 1919 pipe organ, to be followed by a wonderful reception. This concert is free and is a unique opportunity for fine young musicians from Houston’s sister-city, Leipzig.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Best,
Collin Boothby
