It’s been an exciting time in Leipzig where we celebrated Houston-in-Leipzig week during the last ten days in October.  About 38 people from Houston came for the celebrations.  They included poets, authors, ballet dancers, bloggers, musicians, and, of course, many of our members.  We’ll be sending reports and lots of pictures soon.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 28, 2019, when Dr. Helga Aurisch will take us on one of her inimitable tours of Tudors to Windsors: British Royal Portraits from Holbein to Warhol https://www.mfah.org/exhibitions/tudors-to-windsors-british-royal-portraits-holbein-warhol.  If you’ve never heard an introduction by Dr. Aurisch to an exhibit , you will be absolutely amazed; if you have joined us before, you will eagerly await this event.

We will meet between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. in the lobby of the Audrey Jones Beck Building.   The museum closes at 5:30 p.m.  Please do not be late, as there will be no one to let you in later.  The tour will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will last about one hour.  We will meet afterwards in the spacious lounge and bar of the Hotel ZaZa for a nightcap.

There will be no charge for this tour, but we ask that you let us know who will be coming, so that we can inform the museum at angelika@houstonleipzig.org and Kathy@houstonleipzig.org.  Parking is available in the museum parking garage at a fee or on the streets around the museum – where allowed.
