Join us in this celebration of Leipzig, sister city to Houston, as the Rolston String Quartet performs a stunning chamber music program, rich in the luscious tones of Schubert’s “Quartettsatz” D703, Haydn’s String Quartet in G Major, Op. 77 No. 1, and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in D Major, Op. 44 No. 1. This very special performance will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Parish Hall, 2353 Rice Blvd, from 5 – 6 p.m. A reception will follow the concert. The Rolston String Quartet, quartet in residence at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, is performing selections from their upcoming May trip to Leipzig where they will present concerts at both the Mendelssohn-Haus and the Robert and Clara Schumann-Haus.
