The German Consulate General Houston, in coordination with the European Space Agency (ESA) and St. Thomas University, cordially invites you to a special evening with German Geophysicist Alexander Gerst on February 18, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the Scanlan Room, Jerabeck Athletic Center, St. Thomas University. We are looking forward to an exciting presentation by Mr. Gerst about his experiences in outer space at the International Space Station, and his work with ESA and NASA followed by a Q&A session.
German Geophysicist Alexander Gerst first joined ESA in September 2009 and completed his Astronaut Basic Training in November 2010. In May 2014 he launched on a Soyuz spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to the ISS and returned to Earth in November 2014. The images he took and collected from space on the Blue Dot Mission have been admired and spread throughout social media and we look forward to hearing Mr. Gerst’s insights.
Best parking at St. Thomas University is in the Moran Center and Parking Garage at 3805 Graustark Street (intersection of Graustark and West Alabama Streets), Houston, TX 77006. The cost of parking is $2.00, payable only in cash.
