Surely you must have heard of Die Prinzen – the first band out of Leipzig after German Unity that became enormously popular all over the country. Sebastian Krumbiegel was the founding member of the Prinzen, all former members of the St. Thomas Boys Choir. They soon became famous for their humorous, tongue-in-cheek critiques of German politics and society. In addition to his work with the band, Krumbiegel built a career as singer and songwriter that also took him to the United States. Krumbiegel is a co-organizer of the annual festival Leipzig. Courage Zeigen!– Junge Musiker gegen Gewalt und Rassismus [Leipzig. Show Courage! – Young Musicians Against Violence and Racism]. His work earned him the federal Order of Merit of Germany in 2012.
The Consulate General of Germany cordially invites you to a showcase with musical interludes by Sebastian Krumbiegel on Friday, October 25, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. at the Parish Hall of Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2353 Rice Boulevard, Houston, TX 77005.
