Members and friends of the Houston-Leipzig Sister City Association cordially invite you to join them next Sunday, October 2, as Houston-Leipzig Celebrates German Unification at King’s Biergarten & Restaurant from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon outside in this wonderful October weather – of course, you can always come inside, if you please.

For our celebration the Biergarten King has made us an offer that’s hard to refuse:

Special for the Houston-Leipzig party:  ½ Wiener Schnitzel or ½ Jaegerschnitzel and a Nuremberg-style sausage and a bratwurst with Potato Salad and Sauerkraut for $12.00!  In order to get this special, you MUST let us know right away, as quantities are limited.

On the other hand, if you ask our member Hilmar Zeissig, he seems to prefer the Schweinshaxe (Crackling Pork Shank) mit Weihenstephaner Weizenbier served at King’s Biergarten.

In any case, please do RSVP and do RSVP soon as space is limited and please do tell us whether you want the King’s Special.

  1. Es waren wunderschoene Stunden – we all had such a wonderful time! There were over 80 of us; we filled almost the entire outdoor garden. We enjoyed great company, had wonderful conversations, tasted delicious food, listened to good Oktoberfest music . . . all that in perfect Houston October weather. People from so many countries and continents — sometimes you find magic in ordinary places. Pictures to follow soon.
