Celestis_New_Frontier_Earth_Orbit_side1We’re All Going to Space: Well Known Space Entrepreneur Explains How You Will Last Forever

For anyone to be able to go to outer space – this is the vocation of Charlie Chafer, one of the first commercial space entrepreneurs, with the launch of a new NASA funded project, the first navigable Solar Sail. The sail will head towards the Sun and could provide an early warning system against potentially devastating solar storms, which could wipe out entire power grids and any electronics.  Solar Sails also represent a technology that could enable spacecraft to travel anywhere in the solar system and beyond without traditional propellant, powered only by the sun.

A mission for all humanity: anyone who wants to, will be able to join the solar sail mission on board the first Human Archive, a “Cosmic Alexandria” that will carry the mind files and biofiles of individuals, as well as house all of humanity’s treasures, discoveries, and knowledge –burned onto discs – which will orbit the Sun for millions of years, ensuring that humankind will truly last forever . . . .

To learn more about the fascinating world of commercial space, we invite you on a journey – through the cosmos, with an expert in the field.  Mr. Chafer launched the first commercial rocket the Conestoga 1 – from Matagorda Island, Texas in 1982. He has also formed numerous commercial space companies including the Celestis company.  He is making history right here in Houston.
