The City of Fredericksburg, Texas, is celebrating the 200th birthday of its founder John O. Meusebach on May 26, 2012, with an old-fashioned German party at the Pioneer Pavilion in the Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. The party features the New Braunfels Old time German Band, a delegation from the City of Meusebach, Germany, including its mayor. There will be Tanzen, Singen, Fredericksburg’s own Lobo Beers from the Pedernales Brewery, food, heritage displays . . . Bring a picnic supper, if you like.
The park and Pioneer Pavilion are located 3.5 miles south from Fredericksburg on Hwy 16.
