We currently have another guest from Houston: Singer-songwriter Aaron Kaufman! He brilliantly mastered his first gig in Germany. And we’re proud to be able to say that it was in Leipzig.

Aaron was the supporting act of two bands playing in an open air venue, he played his own and some wonderfully interpreted cover songs, both highly appreciated by the audience. After his session one of the show’s hosts came by and asked me, if and when Aaron could come back! This really sounds like a great start for his series of shows here in Leipzig.

We are very happy to have him here and think that this is one of the best examples for the advantages of a sister city.

Tomorrow Aaron will have his next concert – together with Martin Gerschwitz from “Iron Butterfly”, wow! The concert takes place in the ANKER (anchor) and starts at 8.00 pm, for the Leipziger readers of this blog.

The first picture shows Aaron during his soundcheck. The second was taken during the actual show. I chose this photo (despite the umbrella in it), because you can see blues singer Bet Williams (very, very small in the picture, on the lefthand side right next to the white van) watching Aaron. She seemed to like it, too! 🙂

We are looking forward to all of his upcoming concerts here in Leipzig.
