[dc]O[/dc]nce again we are celebrating German Unity Day, even if a bit early, at King’s Biergarten in Friendswood/Pearland (1329 East Broadway Street, Pearland, TX ) on Sunday, September 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

They have made us an offer many of you will want to order:  1/2 Wiener Schnitzel, a Nuernberger Sausage, a Bratwurst, and two sides (they have great Sauerkraut, potato salad, red cabbage . . .) for $15.15.  This price is the same as last year and includes tax and gratuity.  Please note that the special must be prepaid, so send your check now.  Details are below.  Beverages and other items from the menu are separate.

Everyone who has eaten at King’s Biergarten raves about their great German dishes.  One review mentioned that, “I wanted a home cooked dish today and I’m glad I found this . . . jewel.  Wiener Schnitzel  . . .  awesome. Sides are just as I remember growing up especially the German potato salad.” The food has been rated among the 100 Best Dishes in Houston and last year the restaurant was voted among the Five Favorite Restaurants of 2011.  Check out their website for more information: http://www.kingsbiergarten.com/index.php.

King’s Biergarten is in the running for Best German Restaurant in America 2012-2013.  Vote for them at http://www.votekings.com/.
